They are climbing Mt Asgard, 2014

from the series Baffin Island Pigment Ink-jet Print

102.0 x 68.0 cm

The sky is sculpting the earth.
Rivers appear, rivers retreat.
Rocks wait.

Granite confronts; mirrors the mind.
I know not what I believe, but I feel where I stand.

Welcome to deep time.

In 2014, I was invited to document a 20-day expedition of climbers in the Arctic Circle - Baffin Island, Northern Canada.

Additional to the video work, I arrived home with photographs reflecting aspects my art practice - the body and landscape, perspective and belief, and, cycles.
